This policy applies to the Website as well as any subdomains that may have been created for our customers and any associated web, desktop, tablet, mobile, television or wearable software application. A subdomain is a web address that is connected to the primary domain (e.g. www.customer.egoconnectmail.com).
Key Terms Used in This Policy
“Personal Information” is information that specifically identifies you or that, when combined with other information, could be used to identify you, such as your name, location, IP address, e-mail address, telephone number, or billing information if you have provided it.

“Direct Customers” are parties who have registered for a paid subscription or free trial of eGo Connect’s Services.
“Patrons” are third parties users that interact with our Direct Customers via our Services. This could mean making purchases (i.e. buying products, donating, etc.) or browsing content and interacting with content published by our Direct Customers (i.e. viewing web pages, submitting information, registering for an account, etc.).
Personal Information We Collect
Our Services provide Direct Customers with a variety of tools to communicate with Patrons regarding events, fundraising, or any other topic of interest. In providing the Services, we collect certain Personal Information from our Direct Customers and Patrons.
From Direct Customers we may collect:
- Sign up information that you provide containing your email address, name, street address, organization affiliation if applicable, and password
- Billing information
- Site login times, pages visited, and data imported and exported
- IP address information of user logins
Direct Customers may use the Services to collect from Patrons:
- Information you provide to our Direct Customers, including name, email address, phone number, street address, billing information, demographic information such as gender or age, or other categories of information they request.
- Comments, photo, images, videos or any other submission which you may choose to provide when visiting or interacting with our Website at the time.
Finally, it is the Direct Customer’s responsibility to ensure that its collection of Patrons’ Personal Information complies with all applicable laws and regulations. We are not responsible for Personal Information which Direct Customers import into eGo Connect from other sources.
Personal Information Collected Automatically
We may collect your IP address when you create an account, visit a web page on the eGo Connect platform, make a donation, opt-in to receive emails, interact with a form, and upon entering into various other transactions with us. In this context, we use your IP address to demonstrate that you have agreed to a transaction, including receiving emails from us and our Direct Customers.
To maintain our Website’s high quality, we may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the Website. We may also use your IP address to display relevant content or advertisements according to your preferences.
How We Use Personal Information
We use the Personal Information provided by Direct Customers and their Patrons to provide them with our Services, which can include:
- Delivering emails relating to transactions into which you have entered or specific actions you have taken, and newsletters and updates which you have opted to receive
- Sending SMS messages
- Processing payments
- Storing purchase histories
- Organizing you into affinity groups according to criteria set by Direct Customers, based on information you provide to them or your interactions with them
- Responding to inquiries
- Tracking ticket sales for Direct Customer-initiated events
- For eGo Connect business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, developing new products, enhancing our Website, improving our Services, identifying usage trends and determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns.
How We Share Personal Information
We use third-party service providers to assist with critical tasks such as web and data hosting, sending and receiving email communications, sending and receiving text message communications, and payment processing. These service providers may receive access to Personal Information. However, we ensure that contractual agreements are in place with service providers which require them to (i) handle Personal Information in a confidential manner and maintain adequate security; and (ii) use Personal Information only as needed to fulfill the relevant purpose(s).
Privacy Policies of Other Websites
We utilize reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information that we collect, receive, store, and transmit. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. While we work hard to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent “hackers” or other unauthorized persons from illegally accessing or obtaining information.
Your Control Over Your Personal Information
Some Direct Customers may operate pages on the Website with or without their own custom domain names which permit Patrons to create personal accounts. Patrons with such accounts may change or update their Personal Information by logging in and editing it manually, or deleting their Personal Information held by some or all Direct Customers. You may do so by contacting the Direct Customer or submitting a privacy request here: https://www.egoconnect.com/company/policies/privacy-requests.
For Patrons who do not have access to or did not create such an account, deletion requests should be directed to the relevant Direct Customer. Direct Customers have the ability to delete Personal Information of Patrons when so instructed in their administrative account control panel. Direct Customers are responsible for respecting deletion requests from Patrons. Direct Customers who wish to delete their own Personal Information from our system may do from the Privacy section in their administrator account settings.
You may unsubscribe from receiving promotional materials and newsletters from eGo Connect or from our Direct Customers at any time through the unsubscribe link at the footer of all email communications. Unsubscribing from one list managed by us will not necessarily remove you from all publication email lists if you interact with multiple Direct Customers. We have a “no spam” policy and provide you with the ability to opt-out of eGo Connect promotional communications by selecting the unsubscribe link at the footer of the e-mails. We will not sell, rent or share your email address.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance. We do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age in compliance with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), and our Website is directed to individuals who are at least 13 years old or older.
International Data Transfers
Our Services are hosted and operated entirely in the United States and are subject to United States law. You consent to the transfer of your personal information to the United States. If you are accessing the Services from outside the United States, please be advised that United States law may not offer the same privacy protections as the law of your jurisdiction.
Occasionally third party materials such as advertising might be inserted into the Website which you may decide to click on and interact with. In that case, we have no access to or control over the materials and privacy policies of any other individuals, companies or entities whose website or materials may be linked from our Website.
